You should’ve received all the names and email addresses of the givers coming to your store to get their box the week of April 16. You must email them ASAP and let them know that you’ll be in touch when the boxes arrive and are ready to have them come to your store/library. Many of you are also having official pre-WBN giver receptions, which is GREAT! Thank you!

You will be receiving a marketing kit with buttons and bookmarks in multiples to give to the givers AND – IMPORTANT!!! – an original of a letter and certificate that you must make copies of and hand to each giver!!!!

You can customize the giver certificates with your store name at the ABA/Bookweb DIY area.

Also in the kit are more stickers for the regular editions on display. (These are NOT for the WBN editions)  There is also a new Resources tab with downloadable logos and web graphics.

Week of April 9 - Boxes from Ingram should arrive via UPS by Fri. April 13 and likely earlier, but we do not want them given out yet.  The giver’s name is in the p.o.# field on the label.

Week of April 16 – Book box pick-up and pre-WBN reception week!! Get the local media involved. (We’ve sent you a press release template.)  Take photos and post on your site and Facebook pages!! We want the fabulous givers to meet each other and the media!!!

Yes, givers can change their giveaway location, based on comfort level and any safety concerns, and can team up with other givers.

Give them the buttons, bookmarks, guideline letter and certificate!!

The book boxes have a toll free # for Ingram, to call for missing/damaged boxes. We will also be standing by at the april23@worldbooknight.org email box if you need to reach us.

Sunday, April 22 – A Parade magazine story, and possibly more. BUT this is all social media driven, by you and the givers. We will have some national media, but minutes’ worth; this is local local local, my friends!

Mon. April 23 - World Book Night! And yes, people can go out during the day!

Afterwards: Invite the givers back again, to talk and share, AND get any leftover boxes to charitable locations; there’s a form in the mktg kit that must be filled out and mailed back to WBN.
